Selections and elections

Elections matter. Those who lead in the White House and the State House, in the Congress and the Assembly, can affect many, many things. Those elected into public office have the responsibility to work for the betterment of those lives that will be affected.

Selections matter, too.

Being selected for a special task or office carries responsibility as well.

Being selected for the special task to lead a pregnancy help organization carries its own responsibility to work for the betterment of the lives that are certainly to be affected as you fulfill your role.

You may have thought you were selecting the role. Hopefully, you realize that it was not you doing the selecting but God choosing you. You are His selection. He had other candidates to choose from and chose to elect you. And whether you can fully understand it, He factored all that you are into that choice. (I, for one, am grateful that He understands all my faults and failings and still selected me.)

Your selection is with purpose and plan, promise and potential. Whether you lead from the Executive Director chair, the Board chair, or with the title Nurse Manager, you are selected for this work because you have what He wants in the role. You have what He wants to impart to the ministry for the sake of the mission.

Tweet This: Your selection by God as a servant in pregnancy help is with purpose and plan, promise and potential.

Yes, there is more to learn, more experience to gain, and more insights to receive. Also, yes, that He is faithful to provide everything that is needed for all that He wants to accomplish. The key is clarity on what He selected us to do, and in the timing He wants it done. We must take care not to run ahead, nor lag behind.

The season of this election is past and won’t come again for two years.

But the season of selection is ever-present. He selected you for this moment, even knowing how elections would go. He selected you as His minister for His ministry. Not convinced? Read John 15.

Selections matter. His selections matter most!
