Pregnancy centers in the United States served more new clients, provided more medical care, and distributed more material goods in 2024 than ever before, according to a new report.
U.S. pregnancy centers provided over $452 million in total medical care, support and education services, and material goods in 2024, the report said, and saw over one million new clients last year - the equivalent of each center serving a new client every day.
The Charlotte Lozier Institute’s (CLI) 2025 pregnancy center report said as well that 80 percent of pregnancy centers are medical and that there was a rise in the percentage of centers offering Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) - all of this while increasing their already extraordinarily high satisfaction rate with clients.
Pregnancy Centers: Rising to the Occasion with Unwavering Care is fourth piece in CLI’s Legacy of Life & Love Series.

CLI is the education and research branch of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, producing study and public policy analysis on pregnancy help and the life issue. Its pregnancy center report is the leading source for assessment of pregnancy help.
CLI worked with Care Net, Heartbeat International, National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) and the Focus on the Family Option Ultrasound Program along with state pregnancy help coalition leaders across the country. The report examined national survey data from pregnancy centers in all 50 states. CLI has been producing such national pregnancy center reports since 2017.
The Institute said in a statement that the latest analysis “demonstrates that pregnancy centers are serving women, men, and families with unwavering care post-Dobbs and seeing continuous growth since its first report.
Key findings in the 2025 report:
- Pregnancy centers saw over 1 million new clients, the equivalent of each center serving a new client every day in 2024.
- 2,775 pregnancy centers provided a value of over $452 million in total medical care, support and education services, and material goods.
- 8 in 10 centers are providing free or low-cost medical services, staffed by over 10,000 medical professionals.
- Tangible, material support has skyrocketed—over $116 million in value, a 48% increase from 2022—showing that pregnancy centers are meeting real needs for families.
- In 2024, 29% of pregnancy centers provided APR as a service and 77% provided post-abortion support.
- Client satisfaction rose to 98%.
The $452 million in goods and services is up from the last total of $350-plus million. The percentage of centers offering APR rose from 27% in the last year surveyed to the current 29%, and the satisfaction rating from clients rose from 97.4% in the last period examined to 98%. Services were up across the board.
Additional snapshots include that centers performed over 636,000 ultrasounds, an average of over 5 ultrasounds per week per center, each pregnancy center distributed an average of about 6 packs of diapers and 5 baby outfits every day in 2024, along with other essential supplies, and over 65,000 paid staff and volunteers worked at 2,775 pregnancy centers nationwide.
The fact that eight in ten centers provide free or low-cost medical services delivered by over 10,000 medical professionals is an effective repudiation of the pro-abortion claim that pregnancy centers are ‘fake clinics’ that do not provide medical services.
In reviewing the overall statistics since it began producing its reports, CLI said the pregnancy help movement has continued to grow to meet the comprehensive needs of women.
“Data from the past eight years reveal clear national trends of growth, with many core services increasing year over year,” the Institute said in its statement. “Additionally, many centers now offer a wider range of physical, spiritual, emotional, and social support—fully equipping women’s families to not only choose life, but to thrive.”
Leadership from Heartbeat International welcomed the affirmation from CLI’s latest pregnancy center report that the pregnancy help community continues to be the real-life answer for women facing unexpected pregnancy.
“Once recognized as a 'point of light,' pregnancy help centers continue to shine brightly across the United States,” Heartbeat International President Jor-El Godsey said.
“Compassionate care is critical for every woman facing an unintended pregnancy to know that they can overcome temporary obstacles,” he said. “As Big Abortion shutters brick-and-mortar locations for increased profits through impersonal online exchanges, pregnancy help organizations continue to offer warm, caring relationships and practical aid to women and men who are unexpectedly pregnant.”
Heartbeat is the largest network of pregnancy help organizations in both the U.S. and the world.
“Spanning every state and in more than 50% of all the counties in the U.S., pregnancy centers meet real needs in real ways for life-saving impact,” said Godsey.
Heartbeat International Director of Government Relations Jessica Prol Smith echoed the thought that pregnancy help provides effective and compassionate care.
“Despite the tragic rise in abortions, pregnancy help organizations across the country prove a reliable and welcoming support for women and families facing unplanned parenthood,” Prol Smith said.
“The contrast could hardly be more distinct,” she said. “Abortion advocates push for the anonymous and widespread use of drugs that cause heartache and death, while local centers staffed by over 65,000 trained professionals, counselors, and volunteers share even more diapers, baby clothes, medical screenings, and parenting classes than before.”
“The 2025 National Pregnancy Center Report details the increases in a wide range of services,” Prol Smith added, “but it illustrates something that’s harder to quantify - compassionate care that makes parenthood possible and even joyful.”

CLI said that the significance of the latest report highlights the findings of a separate CLI peer-reviewed study which found that “60% of women with a history of abortion would have preferred to give birth if they had received either more emotional support or had more financial security.”
“As the landscape of abortion in America following the Dobbs decision has rapidly changed, pregnancy centers continue to offer steadfast, professional care to women and families,” said Karen Czarnecki, executive director of CLI. “Rising client visits and overall satisfaction are undeniable proof these centers are improving lives.”
