“Planned Parenthood”? Abortion business kills 200 unborn babies for every adoption referral

“Planned Parenthood”? Abortion business kills 200 unborn babies for every adoption referral (Planned Parenthood 2020-2021 Annual Report)

The name “Planned Parenthood” is a dubious one because the nation’s largest abortion provider is so obviously against parenthood. They are about death—and lots of it.

The latest annual report from the abortion giant shows they performed 383,460 abortions in 2019-2020.

The statistic denotes the highest death toll via abortion for Planned Parenthood in the organization’s history, according to the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI), the research arm for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

What an achievement.

Additionally, that figure equates to 200 babies killed by Planned Parenthood for every one adoption referral they made.

CLI scholars also broke down Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy resolution services.

Terminating women’s pregnancies comprised 96.6% of the cases. The rest are listed below:

● Prenatal services:  2.2% (8,775 vs. 383,460 abortions)

● Miscarriage care:  0.7% (2,793 vs. 383,460 abortions)

● Adoption referrals:  0.5% (1,940 vs. 383,460 abortions)

That’s right: Less than 2,000 adoption referrals compared to more than 383,000 abortions.

“It's hardly a surprise that the leading provider of abortions in the U.S. has a dismal showing for adoptions, especially when you consider how abysmal their statistics are for helping women carry to term,” said Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International, the most expansive network of pregnancy help organizations in the world.

Godsey said that more than 9 out of 10 pregnant women entering a Planned Parenthood facility will abort their child.

That statistic is especially telling given the lengths the abortion business will go to see that its revenue is secured.

“This lack of care and attention toward actual parenthood is made even more evident when pro-life laws are enacted to severely restrict, or even ban, abortions,” Godsey continued. “Instead of shifting their efforts to help women follow the law, they are closing up shop and pushing them to access abortion across state lines or through faceless internet services.”

Another eye-popping fact from the Planned Parenthood annual report: 240,000 fewer women walked through their doors during a period time when they performed more abortions than ever before.

Let’s give that figure some more context.

CLI reviewed previous Planned Parenthood annual reports. Here’s how the numbers stack up since 2010:

● Total services are down 21.4%.

● Total cancer screening and prevention services have plummeted by 74%. (This includes dips of 77% for breast exams and 74% for pap tests.)

● Prenatal services have fallen by 72%.

● Contraceptive services are down 41%.

● Unique patients have dropped by 840,000 since 2010, which is a 28% decline.

So, with fewer women being served, all services are down … except abortions. Those are UP.

Why would Planned Parenthood overwhelmingly steer women into killing their child as opposed to parenting or placing him or her up for adoption?

Three words: Follow the money

CLI’s analysis of the 2020-21 Planned Parenthood annual report reveals the abortion giant reported $1.7 billion in revenue and more than $2.1 billion in net assets—an increase from the previous report.

Making sure children go into loving homes as opposed to killing them simply is not as profitable.

If they referred for more adoptions, they would be passing up abortion revenue. Planned Parenthood clients choosing life doesn’t benefit their bottom line.

We can’t have that now, can we? It’s all about the Benjamins.

“With more than half-a-billion dollars in taxpayer subsidies, you'd think that Planned Parenthood would be interested in adapting to serve women with something better than abortion,” Godsey said. “Think again.”

Abortion ends an unborn life and dramatically impacts the numerous lives around that unborn life – arguably most often for the worse.

But Planned Parenthood, the abortion lobby, and its allies continue to beat the drum of claiming that they are helping women.

There are plenty of reports out there on the negative impact of abortion on women - Including the heartbreaking fact that women have a higher rate of suicide after terminating their pregnancies.

The website AbortionChangesYou.com has ample data, including:

• 83% of the women surveyed revealed they were changed by their abortions, with 77% stating the change was negative.

• 77% stated they regretted their abortions.

• 60% shared feelings of isolation and alienation.

• 38% revealed problems with anxiety, depression, drug abuse, and/or suicidal thoughts as a result of terminating their pregnancies.

But Planned Parenthood doesn’t care about these figures. They never did.

To them, it’s not about that overwhelming majority of women regretting their abortions. It’s about that $1.7 billion in revenue and $2.1 billion-plus in net assets.

Sorry, unborn children. To Planned Parenthood, you’re simply worth more dead than alive.
