(March for Lie Romania) The March for Life 2025 took place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Bucharest. This one, along with the marches in other locations, marked the culmination of the Month for Life 2025, during which pro-life events were held in more than 2,500 locations in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
Through this year’s theme, “Every Person Matters,” we celebrate the unique value of every life and emphasize the importance of supporting pregnant women, regardless of their circumstances.

The theme is inspired by the impressive story of Magdalena Rusu, a gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. At only 24 years old, with a remarkable career and an impressive collection of medals, Magdalena teaches us a valuable lesson about the strength of a mother and the importance of supporting women in a pregnancy crisis. Her life story reflects the courage and determination of her mother, who, at 40 years old, faced enormous social pressure to terminate her pregnancy. With the help of her family, especially Alina, Magdalena’s older sister, her mother chose to continue with the pregnancy and gave life to a future champion. The baby in her womb was none other than Magdalena, who inspires the entire world today!

It is vital, but also possible through our collective efforts, to develop a society where life takes precedence and brings light and joy to the world, particularly to mothers who, when faced with difficult choices, find the courage to move forward. These mothers transform each step and challenge into a success, once again proving that every person matters!

Throughout Bucharest and the country, the Month for Life 2025 included activities supporting mothers and children, distributing flowers for Women’s Day, organizing pro-life conferences and workshops, charity fairs featuring cakes and mărțișoare (Romanian spring trinkets), Annunciation Gala, the Pro-Life Youth Congress, cross-runs and other sports events, concerts, fundraisers for women in a pregnancy crisis, among many others.
We express our gratitude to Mădălina Coca, finalist on “The Voice of Romania”, nicknamed “Romania’s Celine Dion”, for her performance at the “Live for Life” concert, and to everyone who spoke at the March for Life in Bucharest : Mădălina Dragomir, born as a result of her mother’s courage in the face of domestic violence; Olimpia Galliberti, representing the March for Life in Italy; Marie-Lys Pellissier, from the March for Life in Paris; Nikolas Tirrier, a young man with Treacher Collins–Franceschetti syndrome; Cristina Vătășescu, a volunteer supporting pregnant women; Teodora Paul, President of “Students for Life” Association from Bucharest, and Alexandra Nadane, President of the “Romania for Life” Association. The event was hosted by actress Ioana Picoș and TV broadcaster Iulian Bobârnea.
Through them, but also through the atmosphere of the entire event, over 1,000 participants had an unforgettable experience that will serve as a source of strength and hope for a future that cherishes life.
Over 2,500 localities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, thousands of pro-life activities, and more than 200,000 participants are tangible steps toward a pro-life future – all essential for ensuring the very existence of a future! Otherwise, the indifference and the lack of support, the ignorance and the inadequate education will trivialize the life, whether it concerns the child or the mother, wasting the immense potential they both hold.

We look to the future with hope, inspired by all the young people who participated in the activities during the Month for Life 2025 and the March for Life 2025. They have shown that there is a strong generation dedicated to supporting life. Together, they will build a more welcoming future for both women and children.
We invite you to join us at the March for Life 2026, on Saturday, March 28, 2026!
