When you save one life, it is as though you have saved the world.
This powerfully moving statement is a common maxim of Rabbis in Israel, said Sandy Shoshani, national director of Be’ad Chaim in Israel. Shoshani shares that this saying describes exactly how her team at Be’ad Chaim feels when even one woman is spared the pain and regret of an abortion and given a second chance to experience relief and joy as she embraces the saved life of her healthy child through Abortion Pill Reversal.
The first pill given in the chemical abortion regimen is mifepristone. The intention of the mifepristone is to block progesterone, the hormone that is necessary to sustain a woman’s pregnancy.
When women experience regret after taking mifepristone and start a chemical abortion, progesterone can be administered following the Abortion Pill Reversal protocol in hopes of outcompeting and reversing the effects of the mifepristone.
Abortion Pill Reversal can save the life of a child.

In July of 2024 Alicia discovered she was expecting her third child. She began considering her situation and circumstances. She recognized that she was a single mother, and she had two children already. Given these circumstances and the difficulties she was facing, including the ongoing stressors and pressures in her life, Alicia began the chemical abortion process and took the mifepristone.
After taking the first abortion pill, Alicia felt regret for her attempt to abort her third pregnancy.
She looked for urgent help.
As Be’ad Chaim received Alicia’s call and considered the urgency of her situation, the team began looking for immediate help for her to begin reversal treatment. A physician in Tel Aviv volunteered to prescribe progesterone, following the Abortion Pill Reversal protocol, to offer Alicia a second chance to save the life of her baby.
The Abortion Pill Reversal protocol was successful.
In January, Alicia welcomed the birth of a healthy baby girl. She named her daughter Hallel, which means praise. Alicia shares that she chose this name as she feels it is a miracle that he was given the opportunity to save the life of her child and is filled with thankfulness for the miracle and success of Abortion Pill Reversal.
The sparing of Hallel’s life through Abortion Pill Reversal was the result of many people coming together to do all they could to connect Alicia with a physician to receive progesterone.
As Sandy reflects on Alicia and the critical assistance she requested to save her baby, she said that “prayer is always the foundation of saving every life.”

Sandy considers a portion of scripture from Acts 17:6 that states, “These men who have turned the world upside down.”
“Abortion Pill Reversal is doing just that,” she said. “Abortion Pill Reversal is turning the world upside down as it is continually saving thousands of lives that would have otherwise been lost to abortion.”
