The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has introduced a national online resource with information, support, and practical help for new and expectant mothers that includes support for moms facing unexpected pregnancy and a key relevant resource.
Launched on Mother’s Day, Moms.gov offers guidance and information to support the health and well-being of mothers and families, according to an HHS statement, but additionally “supports expecting parents who are navigating difficult or unexpected pregnancies.”
To that end, Moms.gov features information about pregnancy centers and links to OptionLine.org, the 24/7 bilingual pro-life contact center managed by Heartbeat International.
Heartbeat is the largest network of pregnancy help organizations in the U.S. and globally.
Option Line is a fully staffed contact center that receives inquiries by call, text, chat, its center locator and website 24/7 and has connected more than nine million to pregnancy help since opening in 2003.
Moms.gov included a statement that is a common theme in pregnancy help:
“Navigating pregnancy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone.”

Heartbeat welcomed Option Line’s inclusion in Moms.gov, saying it reflects more than two decades of trusted service provided through the contact center.
“Motherhood is how we all got here,” said Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International. “Every woman should be loved and supported in her pregnancy. That’s why we’re grateful for the trust to serve to connect moms to the kind of choices everyone can live with.”

The pregnancy help network did not petition for the contact center’s inclusion in the new HHS resource for moms and families and noted that Option Line’s proven track record of compassionately serving women and connecting them to life-affirming help stands on its own.
"Option Line is the logical resource for Moms.gov because it represents more than two decades of proven, compassionate service to women and families in need,” said Andrea Trudden, vice president of Communications & Marketing for Heartbeat International. “Since taking its first call in 2003, Option Line has been a trusted, 24/7 connection point for women seeking real help—offering immediate support, accurate information, and direct referrals to local care.”
“This was not the result of lobbying, but of a consistent track record of meeting women where they are with compassion and practical resources,” Trudden said. “When HHS looked for a trusted national resource for mothers, Option Line was already doing that work every single day.”
Moms.gov also give information about Federally Qualified Health Centers, nutritional guidance, resources for women and parents, preconception health, Fertility Awareness-Based Methods, breastfeeding, sleep safety for babies, mental health, and adoption, along with Trump Accounts and Trump Rx.
The establishment of Moms.gov is a shift from years of pro-abortion resources promoted by past administrations and indicates a commitment to connecting women with life-affirming support.
Heartbeat International said in a statement that it sees the creation of the resource as “a step toward elevating life-affirming resources and recognizing the vital role pregnancy help organizations play in serving women, children, and families across the nation.”
