Life Launch is a grant program of Heartbeat International that aids start-up pregnancy help organizations or centers in underserved communities. Life Launch also includes training, resources, and other benefits for new centers, allowing pregnancy help organizations to cultivate a culture of life in their communities.
In April, at Heartbeat’s annual conference, 24 representatives from 13 different Life Launch centers met to network and engage in new growth methods for their centers.
“Many of our Life Launch centers invest their time and finances to send a representative (or a couple) from their organization to participate in the Heartbeat Annual Conference,” said Sara Dominguez, Affiliate Services specialist at Heartbeat.

Dominguez has led the Life Launch Grant Program beginning with its inception in 2018. Since then, Life Launch has helped to jump-start 37 centers.
These Life Launch representatives were able to come together to network, ask questions and hear from Dominguez, along with participating in the many workshops and keynotes throughout the conference.
This is the second year that intentional time has been set aside during the events at Conference for Heartbeat to host this Life Launch forum. 2022 debuted the first Life Launch gathering, where the benefits of the event were evident.
“We take time to sit together for a meal during the Conference program and then to gather together for a short time so that the Life Launch center representatives have an opportunity to meet one another and to share their unique experiences of starting a pregnancy help center in their own communities,” Dominguez said.
“It's a joy to witness the camaraderie that is shared between these unique start-up non-profit organizations and to hear about what they've learned and what has excited them during conference that they will bring back to their own organizations,” she added.

“We also take time to celebrate the centers which are present that have reached their Life Launch Grant Program milestones.” This year’s conference theme was BREAKTHROUGH. Life Launch centers in attendance shared their own "breakthroughs" from the past year or prayers for future "breakthroughs.”
“It is a testament to their partnership with Heartbeat and the relationship we have built through their affiliation and the Life Launch Grant Program that they see the value of growing their relationship with their peers and us in the pregnancy help community,” said Sara.
The gathering closed with prayers over the centers and each breakthrough experienced and still anticipated.
