Congressional Democrats are celebrating their love for abortion with trendy new jewelry touting the taking of unborn life courtesy of the nation’s largest abortion business.
For President Joe Biden's recent State of the Union speech, instead of the American flag, some Dems in Congress wore lapel pins that spelled out “abortion” with a cute little heart for the letter “O.” They were gifts from Planned Parenthood, which receives upwards of a half-billion in taxpayer funds each year and reciprocates through campaign funds for its loyal lawmaker minions.
What a display, proclaiming one’s love for the culture of death by donning a label advertising its biggest purveyor.

Senator Ed Markey from Massachusetts announced his love of abortion by tweeting, "I'm wearing my abortion pin from @PPFA to tonight's State of the Union address. Abortion is essential healthcare and we need to codify this right."
Rep. Madeleine Dean from Pennsylvania also boasted about her new fashion accessory tweeting, “I say the word, I wear the word. Abortion care is health care. Abortion care saves lives.”
The irony is thick in saying that abortion saves lives and that it’s healthcare given that it ends the unborn child’s life and steals motherhood from pregnant moms.
Working in crisis intervention for women in unplanned pregnancies, I'm well aware of the trauma abortion brings to women.
When these Dems accepted their abortion jewelry from abortion profiteer Planned Parenthood, were they aware that women who have an abortion have a six times greater rate of suicide?
That they often suffer depression, relationship problems, drug and alcohol issues for years?
That they sometimes find themselves with breast cancer years later?
And that their future fertility can be ruined? Or they may suffer miscarriages?
These are all the well-documented ramifications of abortion, and the very ones that abortion providers routinely leave out of their push for the only 'choice' that makes them money - abortion.
If it was really about 'choice,' why do I hear from clients who have been to Planned Parenthood that the ultrasound screen was turned away from them as they lay on the table?
Yes, after paying for an ultrasound, either through insurance or with cash, the pregnant mom is not permitted to see her own child moving on the screen. Might cut into business, you know.
I've had women tell me they were fully planning to raise their child and said to the ultrasound person, "Can you turn the screen towards me? I can't see it," only to be told, "No, sorry, that's not our policy."
That's not a choice. That's a deception.
Maybe Planned Parenthood should consider changing their motto from, "Choice. No Matter What" to "Profit. No Matter What."
What part of abortion do these people love so much that they wear it with a heart?
Is it the dead children, while thousands of Americans wait to adopt?
At the pregnancy center where I serve, we regularly receive letters from couples looking to adopt.
Their beautiful letters describe their lives and how much they're ready to love a child - any child. They include pictures of nieces and nephews, the dog, the backyard, grandparents, and provide a phone number to call to ask any questions.
They ask us to please show their letter to the young women and men who come to us contemplating abortion.
Do those who wore the abortion pins love the fact there are countless walking wounded from abortion?

That there are many moms who are often pressured to abort, deceived into believing an abortion is a way out?
There is as much to love about abortion as there is about the deadly drug fentanyl.
How about some lovely fentanyl pins, maybe with matching earrings? Maybe tie tacks and cuff links for the gentlemen? They would make a lovely gift.

Reactions have been strong.
"This is sick and depraved,” tweeted former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. “Celebrating the killing of innocent unborn children. This isn't a Dem/GOP issue or right/left. This is the mark of evil. God help us."
"From 'safe legal and rare' to 'Heart Abortion' pins at the State of the Union," conservative communications strategist Matt Whitlock said. "What a time to be alive."
“Every abortion stops a beating heart. Pretty ghoulish to support violence in the womb,” The Federalist Editor Mollie Hemingway commented.
Pushing for legal abortion is sad and tragic enough but applauding and "loving" it is a disgusting affront to women.
