Elizabeth Warren’s attempt to abort the nation's pregnancy help centers has horrified the pro-life community.
Angry about the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the outspoken pro-abortion senator from Massachusetts has called for all pregnancy help centers that work to save the lives of unborn children and assist women struggling with their pregnancies to be shut down.
Warren recently told a journalist in Boston:
"In Massachusetts right now, those crisis pregnancy centers that are there to fool people who are looking for pregnancy termination help outnumber true abortion clinics by 3 to 1. We need to shut them down here in Massachusetts, and we need to shut them down all around the country. You should not be able to torture a pregnant person like that.”
Warren, partnering with fellow Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez (N.J.), proposed the Stop Anti-Abortion Disinformation (SAD) Act.
The SAD Act allows the Federal Trade Commission to hit pregnancy help centers with fines of up to $100,000 or half of the parent organizations’ yearly revenues if the FTC deems the centers’ advertising is misleading or deceptive in any way.

But there’s a lot of deception about pregnancy help centers from the left, and some on the side of life are fighting back.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America released a statement, calling Warren’s actions “unconscionable,” and stating that it inspires “more senseless pro-abortion violence.”
“While Democratic Party leaders push for abortion on demand until birth nationwide and fret that pregnancy centers outnumber abortion facilities, 76% of voters support pregnancy centers – including overwhelming majorities of rank-and-file Democrats and pro-choice voters,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Radical pro-abortion Democrats will face the consequences of their deeply unpopular agenda at the ballot box.”
Fox News spoke to Heidi Matzke, head of Alternatives Pregnancy Center in Sacramento, CA. Matzke described Warren’s comments as “horrific” and talked about the violence her clinic has faced recently from pro-abortion radicals.
"We have had to stop operations of our mobile clinic. We've had to hire 24-hour onsite security. We've had to add cameras. We've had to arm our staff with pepper spray," she said, also revealing a man with a machete appeared and was stopped before he could cause any damage to people or property.
Pro-life group Live Action shared important facts countering Warren's claims.
This included a recent report from the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) showing that between 2016 and 2020, more than 800,000 lives have been saved as a result of women who were abortion-vulnerable deciding to visit to the nearly 3,000 pregnancy centers operating across the United States.
That same study also revealed the following eye-opening statistics about the actual monetary value of what pregnancy centers have contributed:
• Nearly 500,000 free ultrasounds – estimated value: $139 million
• 160,200 free STI/STD tests – estimated value: $8 million
• Nearly 732,000 free pregnancy tests – estimated value: $6.5 million
• Free parenting and prenatal education programs – estimated value: nearly $52 million
• Post-abortive support for tens of thousands of clients – estimated value: $3.2 million
• Nearly 1.3 million packages of diapers – estimated value: nearly $13 million
• Over two million baby outfits – estimated value: over $9 million
• Over 30,000 car seats and nearly 20,000 strollers – estimated total value: over $2.6 million
This is what Elizabeth Warren wants to stop.
The death of Roe has given birth to a new level of ferocity from the abortion-loving left.
But the facts remain in place. Where abortion destroys lives, pregnancy help affirms, builds, and restores life.
