A pregnancy help organization that offers maternity housing as part of its suite of services to Madison, Wisc., residents was featured in a local newscast to coincide with Mother's Day, publicizing the good work of Care Net Pregnancy Center of Dane County and its maternity home, The Elizabeth House.
The news clip tells the organization's story through the eyes of "Jennifer," a former resident who found help--and a home--in the midst of an unexpected pregnancy at The Elizabeth House.

"This place is so special to me, just so much peace," Jennifer told the on-camera reporter. "I remember every night, just taking a deep breath and laying down, knowing [daughter] Eliana is safe, she's right there next to me... This was definitely the place to be."

Located just a short drive from the main campus of University of Wisconsin and its student population of over 40,000, Care Net Pregnancy Center of Dane County's services include pregnancy testing, ultrasound, parenting classes and job training, the latter of which has helped Jennifer to land a job that is able to support her and her now 18-month-old daughter.
"[This place] is like family. People care about you. They want you to move forward and they want you to be safe. I honestly can say I wouldn't be where I am now without it. I'm in a good place."
