(Life Issues Institute) In the midst of ongoing attacks, slander, and governmental harassment, pro-life pregnancy resource centers continue to show up and support those in need.
This year’s report by our friends at the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) titled, “Pregnancy Centers: Rising to the Occasion with Unwavering Care” shares several incredible statistics from 2024:
- Pro-life pregnancy centers saw over 1 million new clients, the same as seeing at least one new client each day.
- 80% of centers provided free or low-cost medical support, staffed by more than 10,000 medical professionals.
- Client satisfaction rose to 98%.
- More than $452 million in medical care, educational services, and material goods was provided to women and families in need.
For decades the abortion industry has attempted to smear the pro-life movement with claims that we do not truly care for women. This report by CLI shows a tale of two cities.

We know the amazing labor of love that is poured out by those who wish to defend life, but what does the abortion industry have to show for itself?
Let’s look at some of their recent stats and see just how much they care for women and families in their moments of need.
- The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute reports 1,038,100 abortions committed.
- Operation Rescue reported dozens of documented medical emergencies at abortion facilities.
- The dangerous chemical abortion pill was shipped by mail with no medical oversight to potentially hundreds of thousands of women as insurance data shows roughly 1 in 10 women who take the drugs will face serious medical complications.
- One Planned Parenthood location had sewage seep into an abortion recovery room.
- Poorly trained staff and improper medical equipment resulted in several locations failing safety inspections.
The list could go on and on, but the message is loud and clear. When we compare the fruit of the abortion industry to the fruit of pro-life resource centers, the truth is obvious.

But what have pro-life resource centers received as a reward for their selfless service and labor of love to over a million families in need? They have been relentlessly targeted by rogue pro-abortion government officials.
- New York Attorney General Letitia James sued Heartbeat International and 11 pro-life pregnancy organizations for advertising abortion pill reversal, a safe and proven way to reverse the first pill in a chemical abortion.
- Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey launched a targeted campaign against pro-life pregnancy centers to frame them as coercive, unsafe, and dishonest.
- New Jersey’s Attorney General, Matthew Platkin, targeted First Choice pro-life pregnancy center for their religious and pro-life views demanding 10 years of internal, confidential documents and donor information as part of an unconstitutional investigation.
The governmental assault is not the only attack against these centers. In the wake of the Dobbs decision hundreds of centers were vandalized, firebombed, and attacked.
To the impartial observer, the truth should be very easily understood. While the abortion industry profits off killing innocent children and wounding their mothers with total disregard for life, the pro-life movement selflessly, and at great personal risk, pours countless hours and hundreds of millions of dollars in resources into the effort to truly help and serve women in need.
