In less than a week the Supreme Court will hear one of the most important cases of our time in the pro-life movement. California’s Reproductive FACT Act, AB 775, which forces pro-life pregnancy care centers to provide free advertising for the abortion industry. The law requires licensed medical centers that offer free, pro-life help to pregnant women to post a disclosure saying that California provides free or low-cost abortion and contraception services.
Let's just forget what science and the facts say about how we are all conceived. Let's be forced to tell more lies. The abortion industry must really be hurting to try and put words in our mouths. We should be allowed to give free speech life, not death.

This reminds me of Goliath in 1st Samuel of the bible. Goliath was a huge giant over 9 feet tall. Let's just let that sink in for a moment. I am lucky to hit over 5 feet on a good shoe day, but 9 feet? That is intimidating itself. None the less even folks 2 feet, 6 feet, or 9 feet tall have value. Back to my thoughts on Goliath.
He wore 125 pounds of armor. I don't know about you, but I sure can't lift 125 pounds of armor.
This California Reproductive Fact Act, AB 775 should really be called the Tactic Act or the bully bill. The abortion giant is really bullying us to promote their agenda. The story of Goliath is very similar to what pregnancy centers are facing all over the world. With the attack weeks, the fake clients, and now the bully bill.
As the days quickly approach for the Supreme Court to hear this case, let us reflect on some encouragement. Goliath came out every morning and night. He starting the day bullying and ended the day with more bullying. Goliath was known for belittling and making threats. (Sound familiar?) Giants like Goliath are relentless and do not take days off. We can hear those voices of that bully:
- You can't do this.
- You are too tall or too small.
- You can't change.
- You can't afford this baby.
- You don't have a chance carrying this baby.
This giant continues to taunt us, but thank goodness they don't have ultimate power. Jesus has ultimate power. Jesus is our hope and the perfect recipe to stand up against fear. Jesus is enough and to see that God is bigger. That builds up our faith, and that alone becomes the stone that shuts up the giant that is already defeated.
If anything we need a true FACT bill in place to force the abortion industry to not hide behind the 3% lie. Really own up to who you are and not hide behind the lie of women's health. For instance in Planned Parenthood's own annual report (page 31) the total number of services offered to pregnant women:
- Adoption Referral: 3,889
- Prenatal Services: 7,762
- Miscarriage Care: 1,182
- Abortions: 321,384
Total services to Pregnant Women = 334,217
Let's do the math. 96% of pregnant women clients are "served" by Planned Parenthood with an abortion. That is a bill that all of us can get behind. Let's force them to tell the truth.
So as we face the bully bill together, let us all remember who wins in the end. Our solution is faith. We have confidence in God that He is bigger than this giant. The abortion giant.
