Advent and Christmas are all about love. A love so profound, it transforms everything it touches. The angel's proclamation from Luke 2 rings out, "Glory to God in the highest heaven and on earth peace among those whom he favors. This is the love we celebrate. God's love for the world, Christ's love for us, and the love we are called to show our neighbors.

John 3:16 is one of the most familiar Bible verses. Today let's take a moment to feel its depth. For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

God's love is active, sacrificial, and redemptive.

He saw the brokenness of the world and chose to step in, sending Jesus as the ultimate gift. This love didn't come to condemn, but to save.

It's the same light we're called to carry into the dark places of the world, trusting that it will overcome.

When meeting a frightened mother, comforting a struggling father, or providing care for a vulnerable child, this reflects the love of Christ. It echoes the angel's message of peace and will, offering hope where it might otherwise seem lost.

As Psalm 24 declares, "The earth is the Lord's and everything in it.” Every life, born and unborn, belongs to Him and is loved by Him.

When we choose to serve, we're partnering with His mission to bring light into the darkness.

This season isn't just a time to receive God's love, but to extend it.

1 John 4-10 reminds us, this is love. Not that we love God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

This love calls us to be courageous, persistent, and generous, reflecting Christ's love to our neighbors, our communities, and the women and families we serve every day.

As we rejoice in the coming of the Christ Child, let the image of God humbling Himself to become Man remind us of the message it represents. Glory to God, giving Him praise for his love that came down at Christmas. Peace on earth, offering compassion, healing, and truth to all those in need. And goodwill to all, reflecting the light of Christ through our love and service.

As you prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, may you feel His love surrounding you, filling you and guiding you to be a conveyor of hope.

Let His light shine brightly in you, bringing glory to God and peace to all those you serve.

Merry Christmas and many blessings to you this Christmas season.
