Pregnancy help medical clinics offer valuable medical care for American women
Big Abortion, along with its propaganda arms in media, tech, and politics, continues to force the misconception that abortion is healthcare. Together this team works to discredit the pregnancy help movement. They use shield laws to force abortion in all states and they want to limit the free speech of those who might oppose these efforts. Supported by a number of abortion-driven medical associations, they have also imposed a hybrid interpretation of personhood, which is conditional upon whether an embryo or fetus is wanted by the mother and society. They could not be more wrong.
Healthcare is actually an effort to “maintain, restore, or promote someone's physical, mental, or emotional well-being especially when performed by trained and licensed professionals.” But abortion ends the life of a whole, separate, living human being while simultaneously causing physical, mental, and emotional harm to the mother.

There are now many ways to obtain abortion drugs without the involvement of a licensed professional. Then the woman is sadly left to manage her own abortion symptoms without medical oversight.
The frontline of abortion has moved from the abortion facility to the woman’s front doorstep where pills can be conveniently delivered within hours.
In spite of risks four times that of surgical abortion - when used according to the U.S. Food and Drug guidelines - many are now pushing those limits with chemical abortion into the second and even third trimesters of pregnancy.
In states that permit abortion beyond 11 weeks, chemicals are used interchangeably with surgery options, some even adding laminaria and digoxin in the mix. Abortion providers have now assumed a prerogative to create new chemical cocktails to end life.
In the past, abortion was typically offered in brick-and-mortar buildings where women were provided some level of informed consent and physical assessment prior. Abortion today looks very different and has given up most facades of healthcare.
Today at least one in five abortions in the U.S.-- about 17,000 each month —were conducted by pills mailed to a woman, Organizations like Planned Parenthood, Hey Jane, AidAccess and Plan C have made it their mission to get these dangerous drugs into the hands of women without even a confirmation of pregnancy. Shield laws protect them as they mail abortion into any state no matter the legal access to abortion.
The vast array of mail orders and social media sales also includes more than 72 unregulated websites that sell either just misoprostol or both misoprostol and mifepristone in MTP (medical termination of pregnancy) kits.
These kits typically offer no patient education or even a patient insert with instructions regarding how or when to take each pill in the regimen, contraindications, or what to expect after consumption of the pills.
These electronic purchases provide a convenient source of abortion for those who traffic, pimp, and abuse women. Those advocating for “reproductive choice” disregard women who never been given a choice at all but instead forced or poisoned with abortion pills.

Let’s move beyond the pro-abortion rhetoric and examine the reality.
Accusations vs. truth
Accusation: Pregnancy help medical clinics (PHMCs) are unregulated and staffed by individuals who imitate healthcare professionals with language and attire but without credentials to offer medical care.
Truth: Medical professionals in PHMCs offer valuable healthcare services to millions of patients every year. Each maintains appropriate state licensing and credentials in accordance with medical standards and applicable laws. Thousands of licensed physicians, physician assistants, sonographers, and nurses serve in PHMCs across the nation. In a pregnancy, healthcare professionals have an obligation to both patients and do not take that responsibility lightly. Abortion poses many risks to the mother and is deadly to the preborn patient.
Abortion services are not needed to offer evidenced-based care. Many healthcare professionals do not view abortion as a medical service or healthcare. And approximately 80% of obstetricians do not provide any type of abortion services.
During the turmoil of considering options, it is crucial for women to have immediate access to honest answers, medical care, and long-term support. PHMCs provide a safe environment by screening and equipping all staff and volunteers interacting with clients.
Accusation: PHMCs are “anti-choice.”
Truth: They offer information about all choices and support women long-term no matter what choice is made. Patients receive accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues, and related concerns. It is absolutely crucial to ensure informed consent for a patient to know risks and benefits associated with all of her choices. Patients report overwhelmingly that their experiences in PHMCs were positive.
A recent peer-reviewed study reveals that millions of American women have experienced unwanted abortions revealing that informed consent is not common in the abortion industry.
The American Association of Prolife OB/GYNs encourages comprehensive counseling prior to a pregnancy choice. PHMCs follow that guideline to ensure that the pregnancy decision is not made under coercion or pressures of others. They empower their patients with all she needs in the moment and let her know they are available in the future for ongoing support and care.
Accusation: PHMCs do not uphold confidentiality and sensitive patient health information could be used to prosecute women who abort their pregnancies.
Truth: All patients in any type of clinic, including PHMCs, deserve confidentiality when sharing sensitive personal information. All personnel in PHMCs, whether paid or volunteer, agree to adhere to clinic confidentiality policies and procedures. PHMCs provide privacy to their patients, even when the law does not explicitly require them to do so.
These clinics exist to support and help women, not prosecute them. PHMCs work tirelessly to ensure that women and families have all the support, information, and medical care needed to make the best choice for everyone involved in an unexpected pregnancy. They support women and families long-term, no matter which pregnancy choice is ultimately made.
Accusation: PHMCs target low-income women, young women, and women of color.
Truth: On the contrary, PHMCs care about the complex and difficult circumstances that challenge women making pregnancy choices. PHMCs around the world empower women daily with accurate patient education, encouragement, and practical assistance. However, Big Abortion instead emphasizes the challenges women face. In order to make the abortion sale and close the deal, they cast doubts for women who are weighing their options.
Women and families are served in PHMCs without regard to age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability or other arbitrary circumstances. Women should never feel forced to have an abortion, especially if it’s the only pregnancy option in their community. PHMCs sometimes locate themselves near abortion facilities because they are trying to reach clients, offering them access to more than just abortion.
A study published in International Reproductive Health Journal Contraception revealed that the average woman choosing abortion makes the decision within a day of confirming her pregnancy and obtains an abortion within the next week. The most frequently cited reason for abortion was financial. More than half of all women who abort do so to please others, not because it is a decision they want for themselves or their children.
A woman without sufficient support, finances, living arrangements is vulnerable. Women should never be manipulated into a decision that contradicts her core beliefs or values. And yet across the world women are convinced thousands of times every day that starting an abortion will solve all her problems. Those in PHMCs and on helplines understand that many are hoping for a different way.
Pregnancy help medical clinics stay strong in offering valuable medical services for women - despite persecution
In the U.S., PHMCs outnumber abortion facilities 3:1. This is an indication of the success of PHMCs and the consistent and exceptionally high approval rate of their patients who return to them repeatedly for care.
Big Abortion has a long-term strategy to make abortion available for anyone, anytime, anyplace, no matter the reason or risk. This evil can only thrive in darkness.
As a beacon of light and hope, pregnancy help medical clinics stand in the way of that horrendous plan for women and children and offer life-affirming hope.
