WATCH: Pregnancy Centers Aren't Just Saving Lives, But Renewing Communities

WATCH: Pregnancy Centers Aren\

When a woman is given the chance to choose life through a pregnancy help center, it isn’t just she and her child who are transformed forever—it’s entire communities, cities and nations.

That’s the message in a short film recently published by Prestonwood Pregnancy Center in Richardson, Texas. An offshoot of Prestonwood Baptist Church, the center’s video gives a snapshot of the sweeping impact of one life saved from abortion.

The film follows a young woman struggling to choose life while her family and her preborn child’s father pressure her to abort.

At the center—which has served 65,000 women in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since 1991—the young woman, “Emma,” meets her child via ultrasound and finds the strength to stand against her family’s coercion.

Through the center, Emma makes an adoption plan for her baby. As she leaves the center, Emma is given a knit baby blanket, in which she eventually wraps her baby as she places her into the arms of an adoptive family.

That same knit blanket comes into play later in the film, as a powerful illustration of the constant labor of love that goes on behind the scenes at the 2,752 pregnancy help centers and ultrasound-equipped medical clinics across the U.S.
