Perhaps all agencies providing services to pregnant women should post a "Pregnant Patient's Bill of Rights" which would include the elements of informed consent: The PHYSICIAN PERFORMING the treatment or procedure, must provide the patient with information on the RISKS, BENEFITS, and ALTERNATIVES to a medical procedure or treatment INCLUDING THE EXPECTED OUTCOME WITHOUT receiving the medical procedure or treatment. However there needs to be a good faith effort of data gathering on abortion complications, considering that since Roe v Wade, the most comprehensive data collection has been by the NAF which, according to its own information, over 60% of abortion patients DO NOT RETURN FOR FOLLOWUP CARE.
